The game isn’t very demanding regarding PC hardware and runs smoothly on various PCs. Despite the optimizations, PC users report Unity crash issues when playing Zenless Zone Zero. I have compiled a list of fixes that help PC players resolve ZZZ Unity crashes.

Zenless Zone Zero Unity Crash Fixes That’ll Help

Since there are a range of PC configurations, the exact reason for the Unity crash varies from system to system. This ZZZ crashes with the Unity error due to it not having admin rights, compatibility issues with the OS or DirectX API, and more. The following fixes will help PC users resolve Zenless Zone Zero’s unity crash.

Restart PC

Let’s start with a simple fix, restart your PC to resolve the Unity crash. If you haven’t shut down or restarted your PC for a while, it crashes Zenless Zone Zero with a Unity error.

Force DirectX 12

Unity crash fix that has worked for many PC users is forcing the game to use DirectX 12 instead of DX11. Run the game with DX12 and the issue will be resolved.

  • Open the launcher > game settings > open directory.
  • Right-click the executable > send to > Desktop (create shortcut).
  • Go to the desktop, right-click the shortcut, and select properties.
  • A small window will open and you’ll find the path to the executable in the target section (see the image below).
  • The path will end with \ZenlessZoneZero.exe
  • Add a space at the end of the path and add -force-d3d12
  • Apply the changes and launch the game using the shortcut.
  • Zenless Zone Zero will run with DirectX 12 and the Unity crash is fixed.

Disable In-game overlays

Every gaming-related software comes with an in-game overlay. These overlays are useful as they allow PC users to access certain features without minimizing or closing the game. However, they can interfere with the game and cause crashes. Zenless Zone Zero is crashing with the UNity Error because of in-game overlays. Disable them to fix the issue.

  • Turn off the “Enable In-game overlay” options.

GeForce Experience:
