Crafting in Dungeonborne is pretty big part of gameplay. Plenty of items including some healing items and Heirlooms are tied to the game’s crafting mechanic.
Heirlooms are legendries or exotics that you can craft in Dungeonborne. These are power full weapons and armor sets that you can use to better your chances against all types of enemies.
To unlock an Heirloom, go to the “Heirloom” tab in the menu.
To craft an unlocked Heirloom, select it and choose to craft with either a Mithril Token (1,000 Gold from Merchant) or the required resources.
Resources are acquired by dismantling gear or purchased from the Merchant.
Crafting Heirlooms is significantly more cost effective than purchasing gear from the Merchant (1,600 – 36,000 Gold).
Prioritize escaping with gear that will help you unlock, craft, or upgrade Heirlooms.
Unlocking Heirlooms In Dungeonborne
Unlocking Heirlooms is a simple process, all you need to do is go to the “Heirloom” tab at the top of the menu. Make sure you possess Rough White Iron which usually comes from dismantling equipment you don’t need.
The following are the unlock requirements for some of the heirloom types in Dungeonborne.
- One-Handed Weapons and Shields – 200 Rough White Iron OR 50 Ilmenite Ore
- Two Handed Weapons – 300 Rough White Iron OR 75 Ilmenite Ore
- Armor – 300 Rough White Iron OR 75 Ilmenite Ore
- Accessories – 200 Rough White Iron OR 50 Ilmenite Ore
If you meet the requirements, hit “unlock” to complete the process.
Upgrading Heirlooms In Dungeonborne
Once you manage to unlock and craft heirlooms aka exotics unlocked, they can be upgraded to gain additional Attack Levels, increasing stats. Upgrades also unlock Enchantment Slots to add further bonuses, making your exotics and legendries more powerful:
- Green (Atk 2) to Blue (Atk 3) – 300 Ilmenite Ore, adds Major Defense Enchantment
- Blue (Atk 3) to Purple (Atk 4) – 300 Refined Steel Ore, adds Major Utility Enchantment
Unlocked Enchantments can then be slotted into the weapon, armor, or accessory Heirloom. Enchantments cost Ilmenite or Refined Steel Ore.
How to Unlock Legendary Heirlooms in Dungeonborne
There are currently three Legendary Heirlooms in Dungeonborne:
- Divine Crown (Legendary Helmet)
- Moon Pendant (Legendary Necklace)
- Divine Sword (Legendary Weapon)
The Moon Pendant is found in the Training Room but only during a Full Moon. Interact with the shining object on the altar to get the fragment needed for The Moon Pendant Legendary Heirloom.
The legendary Heirloom is the Divine Crown that randomly drops in the Sinner’s End dungeon. In my experience, it is most commonly found in the northmost center room. Note that only one fragment spawns per map.
Lastly, we have the Divine Sword legendary Heirloom which can only be acquired after you get the Moon Pendant and the Divine Crown.
You can find it in a flower coffin in the bottom center of Sinner’s End. Consuming the Moon Pendant and Divine Crown will unlock the Divine Sword.
