Remnant 2: Invite Friends for Co-op, Loot Sharing, Public Games

Remnant 2 has a perfectly enjoyable solo experience but it is even more fun with friends in online co-op. Not only it is more fun in co-op, you can never go wrong with having a few extra hands against some of the more challenging bosses or while solving one of many puzzles that you will come across. Sadly, the ability to play in co-op is not something that is available from the beginning. You will need to go through a few hoops to unlock it. This guide covers everything you need to know about unlocking co-op and inviting friends to play together in Remnant 2.

Remnant 2 Invite Friends for Co-op

Before you can start inviting friends, you’ll need to unlock the co-op feature. This is how you do it:

1. Complete the Tutorial: Your first step is to play through the tutorial, which won’t take more than 10 minutes. This introductory section sets the stage for your co-op adventures.
2. Reach Ward 13: Once you’re done, head to Ward 13 and interact with the World Stone. This pivotal moment saves your progress and opens the door to multiplayer fun.

How to Invite Friends

After unlocking the co-op, you can invite your friends by opening the Friends section in the Main Menu. From there, you can send invites to the friends you want to join your session. If you want to play with random people, you can set your game to Public from the Main Menu which will let anyone playing Remnant 2 join your game. Remember that you will need to revive everyone who joins your session at the World Stone.

• Pause the Game: Press the relevant keys on your PC or Xbox to pause.

Alternatively, if you want to join a random co-op game, open the co-op menu from the World Stone and select Join Game. After you join a session, the host will need to revive you at the World Stone before you can play.

Fixing PS5 Invite Errors

PS5 users might face invite glitches. Here’s a quick fix:

1. Go to the World Crystal in Ward 13.
2. Choose the “Join Game” option.
3. Look for a dot below your friend’s username and click it to join.
4. If issues persist, restart Remnant 2 and try again.

If you’re in the mood to team up with random players, use the world stone and select ‘Join Game’. Choose your preferred difficulty and pick from available public matches. Remember, the host must revive you at the world stone to start playing.

Hosting Public Matches

Want to invite others to your world? Set your game to public:

Loot Sharing

This is probably the most asked question right now. While you are playing in a co-op session, loot is shared among the group. This means that any loot acquired will be obtained by everyone. You will not have to do multiple playthroughs to get desired items.

Is It Cross-Platform?

As of this article, Remnant 2 is not cross-platform. Therefore, if you have friends on a different platform, you will not be able to play together. Hopefully, Gunfire Games is working on making it work but until then, you are out of luck.
