Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the new game in the franchise, and it sets us up in the age of Vikings. The game has a couple of things that are different than the previous ones. You no longer regenerate health when you are out of combat. You need to heal yourself in the game. In this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla healing guide, we are going to go over how you can heal in the game.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: How to Heal
Healing works by picking up different items, such as berries and food. These can be found in the open world. Once your health bar is full, the items that you pick are going to be stored in your rations pouch. You can even pick up food from pots that you will find in villages and settlements.
Rations Pouch
When you are low on health and do not have any food around you, you can press the healing button (H on PC) to heal yourself using the items from your healing pouch (rations).
Other ways in which you can heal include resting in your bed. This can be found at your base inside the longhouse as well as other locations that you can unlock by progressing the game.
While this is a new mechanic for healing and is different when compared to the older games in which you would regenerate health when out of combat, this does increase the realism of the game and goes well with the overall theme of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Skills Can Heal Too
Furthermore, there are skills in the skill tree, such as Grit and Survival Instinct, that allow you to get some of your health back. These are not going to change the name of the game, but they can be nice to have as an added bonus.
