Ash Summon Strategy
As soon as you step into the arena, summon your ashes spirit to aid you. It’s crucial to stay in the first half of the room because the second Demi-Human Chief is lurking in the other half. Although the second Chief will eventually join the fray, delaying this as long as possible is the way to go.
Tip: Spirit Jellyfish Ashes is not bad choice for this fight.
Avoid lingering too close to your summon. Ideally, your summon will distract and engage some of the minions and possibly one of the bosses. This gives you the opportunity to eliminate any remaining minions who are not engaged.
Staying stationary can lead to being overwhelmed by the bosses and their minions. Keep moving and circle around the first half of the arena.
The Demi-Human Chief attacks swiftly. If you’re using a melee build, a shield can be very helpful to block some of the Chief’s attacks, which typically come in short bursts of one or two strikes. Use your shield to your advantage to counter these attacks.
Be mindful of the Demi-Human Chief’s attack patterns. It often winds its arms back before attacking, holding both arms behind its back for a second. This clear telegraph gives you the chance to time your dodges and rolls.
Another attack to be wary of is the Chief’s leap attack. The boss hangs in the air momentarily before lunging towards you and slamming the ground. This isn’t a chain attack, so you can close in and land a few hits after it lands.
The Demi-Human Chief also has a spinning attack, where it holds one arm behind it before spinning towards you in a slashing whirlwind. As soon as you see an arm going back, prepare to back away quickly. After the spin, the Chief often raises its arms above its head, indicating a final slam. Be ready to dodge this follow-up attack.
Attacks And Counters
Triple Strike Attack: The boss swings its knife at your three times. The final swing can deal damage in a larger area compared to the first two strikes. Sometimes, the boss will delay the swings and use another attack at the end. To avoid this attack you can dodge back and create distance between you and Beat Demi-Human Chief. The third swing must be dodged to the right.
Overhead Attack: The boss will rush you and slam you will its arms. Wait for the boss to get closer before dodging backward. You can parry this attack but do so only if you are good at that.
Lunge Attack: The boss lunges toward you and swings the knife three times. Dodge back after the lunge to avoid getting hit.
Minion Summon: The boss will screen and call additional enemies. Focus on killing them before attacking the enemy again.
Right Stab Attack: Demi-Human Chief will stab you in the face which you can avoid by dodging backward.
Spin Attack: The boss spins twice and with each comes closer to you.
