Soft Cotton is a crafting material in Elden Ring, used to create items that reduce fall damage and prevent fall damage sounds. Soft cotton can be found on bodies you loot in the game, but a more stable supply of cotton comes through crafting.
However, you need Cookbook [7] to craft it. Head north from Stormhill Shack towards a destroyed bridge. The cookbook is on a body at the end of the bridge.
- Rowa Fruit (x3): Found as red berries across the wilds.
- Smoldering Butterfly (x1): Located around campfires.
Once you have the cookbook and materials, you can craft Soft Cotton using the crafting kit. Soft Cotton reduces fall damage and noise, making it useful for stealth and exploring dangerous areas.
All Known Soft Cotton Locations
- Woodfolk Ruins: Found on a body against the ruins.
- Mountaintops of the Giants: On a body sitting on a chair.
- Morne Tunnel: Looted from a body inside the tunnel.
- Destroyed Bridge Past the Teleporter: Picked up from a body on the broken part of the bridge.
