The open world in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is huge so you will often have to fast travel to certain locations. Fast travel is done through Portcrystals, an item that was also our main source of fast travel in the first Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen.
Where To Find Portcrystals In Dragon’s Dogma 2
There are multiple ways to find Portcrystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2 including the game’s Overworld and vendors. Let’s go deeper into the topic:
Overworld is one of the sources where you can find Portcrystals. You can take them to the locations you want to fast travel to and setup fast travel points for yourself. Portcrystals are found as part of the game’s natural progression but if you want to grab them for a price, vendors are your source for that.
Vendor, some not all, offer Portcrystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2 for a price. The price can go up to 200,000 Gold for a single Portcrystal so you may have to save up for a while before you can get for your fast travel needs.
There are limited number of Portcrystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Some can be bought while others are available on the map. Whenever you find one, take it as it is one of the rarest resources in the game.
How To Use Portcrystals In Dragon’s Dogma 2
Once you have a Portcrystal move it to the location you want to fast travel too. Yes, that means you have to manually go over to a particular location to place the Portcrystal. When that’s done, you’ll need a Ferrystone to fast travel to your Portcrystal.
And that’s how you use your Portcrystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2. The best placement locations for Portcrystals are near capital cities and dungeons you can farm.
