Dragon’s Dogma 2: How To Get Pointed Fangs

In DD2, players can enhance their gear with different forging types. This improves the viability of weapons that you might like. Pointed Fangs are required for higher-tier enhancements and since they are rare to come by, you might be interested in finding out how you can get them. In this Dragon’s Dogma 2 guide, I go over how you can get Pointed Fangs.

How To Get Pointed Fangs In Dragon’s Dogma 2

The following are the different ways in which you can get Pointed Fangs in DD2.

Killing Wargs

Pointed Fangs are dropped by Wargs but these are hard to come by, especially in the base game. This is because there are only a few Wargs and they do not respawn in the base game. You can find Wargs on Volcanic Island.

There is also a chance for Wargs to spawn by the roads that are west of the Volcanic Island Camp. Two Wargs will spawn in this area and they will not respawn once they are killed. I can also recommend heading into the cave south of the Enoa’Battahl Forest. The Warg here does respawn a day later. So you can farm this Warg.

Note that Wargs can drop other items such as Beast-steak, Wakestones, and Monster Fangs. There is also a chance that killing them will reward you with nothing. So there is some RNG involved when trying to farm Pointed Fangs in DD2.

Once you have entered the Unmoored World, Wargs will start to spawn more often in the above-mentioned areas along with other roads on Volcanic Island.

You can use the Forager Specialization to help locate Pointed Fangs in DD2. This will save you some time and keep you from wasting time looking for Wargs where there are none.

Forging Pointed Fangs

Pointed Fangs are a rare resource, fortunately, you only need to find one Pointed Fang since it can be forged. Have at least one Pointed Fang in your inventory or storage so that you can make copies. This is expensive and costs gold but it is also the only consistent way of getting more Pointed Fans if you have not reached the Unmoored World.

Merchant Shops

Other than forging and farming Wargs, you can buy Pointed Fangs from merchants. Merchants swap their inventories often so it is worth stopping by to see what they have in stock. You might find that traveling merchants around towns such as Melve have Pointed Fangs for sale.
