Dragon’s Dogma 2 doesn’t offer a lot of handholding and the game does not explain some of its major mechanics. Dragonsplague is one of the mechanics that can affect your pawns. In this Dragon’s Dogma 2 guide, I go over what Dragonsplague is and how you can cure it.
What is Dragonsplague in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
As the name implies, Dragonsplague is a disease that can affect your Pawns. Once affected, your Pawn will start to disobey you and can even go on a killing spree. Once the Pawn is corrupted it will turn into a Dark Dragon. When that happens, it will kill everyone around it. So you do not want to leave Dragonsplague untreated.
How to Detect And Cure Dragonsplague
Dragonsplague is contagious. If you hire a Pawn that is infected then your Pawn can get infected too. If a Pawn you are interested in hiring has red eyes then that means that it is infected. You need to steer clear of the Pawns with red eyes. If you have hired an infected Pawn then you can dismiss them from your party to keep your Pawn from getting infected.
If your pawn is infected then it will stop obeying you. That is a major red flag. If your main Pawn gets infected then a quick fix is to throw them into a river to kill them and then resurrect it. You can also transfer the Dragonsplague to another player’s Pawn by getting your Pawn recruited. Once your Pawn infects another player’s Pawn, your Pawn will be cured.
