The Awakened King DLC for Remnant 2 brings a bunch of new items, weapons, bosses, and more. A brand new Melee Weapon that you can get in The Awakened King is the Ritual Scythe. The weapon is perfect to pair with the Ritualist archetype since it revolves around inflicting Status Ailments. Remnant 2 — The Awakened King Ritualist Scythe
In order to get the Ritualist Scythe, you will need to access the Forlorn Coast in Losomn — it should be the very first area when you launch the DLC. Once you are in, you will need to find the Forgotten Commune dungeon.
In this dungeon, you will come across a couple of Befouled Altar events, marked by a purple aura. You will be able to start the event by shooting one of the corpses on the Altar. After you begin the event, you will need to deal with unlimited enemies along with the actual boss. Things that can control the room like Turrets, Summoners, Corrosion, etc. can be very helpful for this event. Once you have completed the Befouled Altar event, you will either get the Scythe Blade or the Scythe Hilt — it is important to note that both of these items drop from the same dungeon so there is no need to search for them anywhere else.
Once you have both the items in your inventory, you will need to inspect the Scythe Hilt and continue to rotate around until you see an option to Interact with it. This is where you will be able to insert the Scythe Blade into it, completing the Ritualist Scythe. From there, you simply need to head over to Ward-13 where you will be able to upgrade it.
Should I Use the Ritualist Scythe?
The weapon comes equipped with the Reaver mod which increases your Melee Damage by 10% if the target is under a Status Ailment i.e. Bleed, Burn, Corrosion, etc. You can also use the Mutator slot on it to get something that is good for your build. Since the new Ritualist archetype is all about inflicting Status Ailments on your enemies, you should definitely consider running it and see how it performs. Also, do not forget to pair it with the Energized Neck Coil since it pairs perfectly.
