The mid-range Nvidia RTX 4050 is expected to launch soon. The Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra has been confirmed to feature the RTX 4050 and the Intel i7-13700H. Now we have spotted the specifications of a laptop featuring the Nvidia RTX 4050 and the AMD Ryzen 7945HX.
Nvidia RTX 4050 + Ryzen 7945HX Laptop
While we do not know the make or model of the laptop, the specifications mentioned ROG boost, which might indicate that this is an ASUS ROG laptop. Whether or not this is a Strix model is yet to be confirmed. What we can see from the specifications is that the RTX 4050 has 6 GB of GDDR6 memory. This is fine for 1080p gaming but might not be enough for those that want a future-proof device since games are becoming more demanding.
The specifications mention that the RTX 4050 can boost to 2370 MHz, but with ROG boost, it can reach 2420 MHz. The power consumption also increases from 115W to 140W, which is a bit much for an XX50 series mobile graphics card.
The AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX is a high-end CPU with 16 cores and 32 threads. So pairing it with the mid-range RTX 4050 might not make much sense. This is most likely one of the laptop’s specifications, and you might be able to pair the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX with better GPUs, such as the RTX 4060 and 4070.
We also found some benchmarks of the 7945HX and found that it was only 12% slower than the Intel i9-13980HX while consuming half the power.
Let us know what you think about this laptop configuration and whether or not you are interested in buying a laptop with an RTX 4050 graphics card.
