Gigabyte Teases 192 GB Memory Support For X670E Motherboards

Several motherboard manufacturers have teased 192 GB memory support for X670E motherboards, and now Gigabyte is doing the same. It seems that Gigabyte is testing a new BIOS update that should bring RAM support to AMD’s 600-series chipset motherboards.

The official AGESA update for AMD X670 and B650 is reportedly around the corner, which is why all motherboard manufacturers are testing it on their motherboards and implementing it. This latest update comes from Coolaler forums showing the AORUS X670E Master motherboard running 192 GB of DDR5 RAM. The RAM was running at 6000 MT/s.

Companies such as Corsair and G.Skill have announced their 24 and 48 GB DDR5 memory modules that run at 8000 MT/s. You can expect the official AGESA update to be released in April, but there is no official word regarding the release from AMD or the motherboard manufacturers, so do take this information with a grain of salt.

192 GB of memory is obviously over-kill for gaming, and there are limited use cases for such a high amount of RAM, but the option is still there for people that need it. It is most likely going to be used for AI use-cases.
