Thunderbolt 5 is capable of delivering transfer speeds of up to 120Gbps. This is the new standard which is ideal for connecting multiple high-resolution and high refresh-rate monitors simultaneously. It also offers double the bandwidth for external SSDs, graphics cards, and other devices. It is designed on the USB4 V2 standard and supports DP 2.1 as well as PCI-E 4.0. At the CES 2024 booth, Razer demonstrated how a single TB5 port could be used to connect three 4K displays at the same time. The laptop at the booth was a sample piece but the new Razer Blade 18 is expected to release in the second half of 2024.
