Casting Call Leak For “Next AC Game” Set In Mongolian Era Doesn’t Seem Right

A new leak is making rounds on the internet right now and some believe it is related to the next Assassin’s Creed game set in the Mongolian Era. Yes, it is fun to think AC is going full Ghost of Tsushima but I don’t think that is the case.

The rumor started when a casting call leaked for something called “Project Hero.” Ubisoft is behind the call and demanding the following from the actors:

  • PROJECT HERO
  • Casting Director: Gen Bourassa
  • Recording begins: September 2024
  • Casting for the folllowing role: Mongolian Warrior
  • She/her. Age 30-50, Mongolian. Brutal, determined, fearsome, tactical, cold. Language: Mongolian, English. We are first and foremost seeking performers ~who speak Mongolian.~ Voice print: Deep. (alto, contralto) Performer must be comfortable with projected barks/onos, and performing vocally strenuous material. The MONGOLOLIAN warrior is a conqueror with a twisted ideology. Having survived constant warfare on her village and a rough existence in the Steppes, she has been sharpened into a hardened warrior. Her ultimate ambitions are noble – to bring peace to a world of incessant warfare – but only if she can rule it with an iron fist. REFERENCES IN POP CULTURE: Wanda (Scarlet Witch) from the MCU, Daenerys Targaryen from Games of Thrones.

It sounds interesting but the most likely explanation for this is that a new character for For Honor is currently in development. Project Hero is actually the internal codename for Ubisoft’s For Honor.

It is safe to say this leak isn’t related to a new Assassin’s Creed game but it is always fun to speculate. Has Ubisoft given the same codename to two different projects? Possible. But as far as this leak goes, it is best to keep hopes in check because this is most likely a new For Hornor character.
