Bethesda has recently trademarked “Motor – Powered by idTech,” sparking speculation that it could be linked to a modding kit for the DOOM series, potentially launching with the upcoming DOOM: The Dark Ages.
The modding kit has been rumored ever since DOOM Eternal but nothing became of it. So with the launch of DOOM The Dark Ages upon us, it isn’t far-fetched to think this might be mod tool.
On the other hand, this could also be a brand-new IP, a new game Bethesda is working on. The trademark really doesn’t give anything away other than the name, but my guess is that this is possibly the “Creation Kit” for DOOM.
