LA Noire Sequel Is A Phycological Thriller Set In 1940s Sowden House

The sequel to LA Noire or should I say spiritual successor to LA Noire, is titled Sowden House. The game got confirmed from unexpected source, Freyja Garbett, he music composer for Sowden House.

Freya posted on Instagram to not only confirm the title of the game but also reveal that it is a phycological thriller set in the 1940s.

The name alone gives a ton of information about what the story will be like. Sowden House is a historical location in LA, where the game is set. The name, and the fact that it is a phycological thriller, strongly suggest that Sowden House will follow the Black Dahlia murder case.

The house has been linked to the murder over the years, the location has been shrouded in mystery ever since.

From the creators of LA Noire comes Sowden House, a psychological thriller also set in the 1940’s in LA that will have you questioning your sanity (much like I have been since writing the music for this project.

The History of Sowden House and Possible Plot of the Game

Sowden House, designed by Lloyd Wright in 1926, is renowned for its Mayan Revival architecture and its connection to the unsolved Black Dahlia murder. Dr. George Hodel, a suspect in the case, owned the house in the 1940s.

This backdrop sets the perfect stage for a psychological thriller, merging real historical elements with fictional twists.

Given the house’s storied past, it’s plausible that the game could center around a detective or investigative journalist.

The protagonist might uncover hidden secrets, explore concealed passages, and piece together clues that reveal unsettling truths. The Black Dahlia case, with its deep ties to the house’s history, could serve as a central plot point, with the game’s narrative.
