Where to Get New Weapons in the First Descendant

Special abilities are great but it is the weapons that get the ball rolling in The First Descendants. There are so many powerful weapons in the game and many ways to get new weapons.

How to Get New Guns in The First Descendant

One of the primary ways to acquire new weapons is by completing missions and defeating bosses in the game world.

These missions are typically short and reward you with various items, including new weapons. Engaging in these missions regularly can help you build a diverse arsenal to tackle different challenges.

Moreover, Deslin is a key NPC in Albion who sells weapons and other equipment. You can find him down the staircase leading to the left-hand side when looking at the map of Albion.

Deslin is easily identifiable by his icon of two crossed rifles and his distinctive appearance, sporting modified welding goggles and a pilot’s cap.

Another method to unlock powerful guns is through the game’s battle pass. By progressing through the battle pass, you can earn various rewards, including new and powerful weapons.

How to Improve Your Weapons in The First Descendant

Once you have obtained new weapons, it’s essential to improve them to keep up with the increasing difficulty of missions. The First Descendant features a system that allows you to level up and upgrade your weapons.

Using a weapon in combat earns Proficiency XP. As your weapon gains XP, it levels up and unlocks Module slots. Modules can significantly upgrade your weapon’s performance by altering its fire rate, damage type, critical hit chance, and more.

To upgrade your weapons, you will need to use the Crafting Bench and a special material called Phase Exchangers. Here’s a step-by-step guide to upgrading your weapons:

  • Check Requirements: After increasing your mastery rank, you will unlock the Crafting Bench. Visit the bench and check the requirements for upgrading your weapon. Different weapons require different amounts of Phase Exchangers based on their quality. For example, upgrading blue weapons costs fewer Phase Exchangers compared to purple weapons.
  • Craft Phase Exchangers: You can craft Phase Exchangers by visiting Anais. The crafting process requires 50 Superalloy and 2500 gold and takes about 2 minutes and 30 seconds to complete.
  • Level Up the Weapon: Once you have the necessary Phase Exchangers, return to the Crafting Bench. Select the weapon you wish to upgrade and choose another weapon with a higher tier to use in the upgrade process. Note that this process will destroy the second weapon. Complete the upgrade by clicking the Weapon Level Transmission button.
