If Archie and Churchill aren’t working out as companions for you in Fallout London, you can always give John Smith a try. The man has the most generic name, but his utility and actions are anything but.
Know that John Smith is one of the two faction-exclusive companions in Fallout London. John is tied to the Fifth Column which means you need to be aligned with them.
The problem with this is that you won’t be able to recruit Pendragon if you recruit John Smith.
How To Recruit John Smith In Fallout London
As you advance in the main storyline, you will reach a point where you must choose between the Fifth Column and the Camelot factions.
This decision is the most important, as John Smith can only be recruited if you side with the Fifth Column.
Once you have progressed far enough in the Fifth Column questline, John Smith will become available for recruitment.
He is typically found in locations associated with the Fifth Column.
Approach John Smith and initiate a dialogue with him. He will express his willingness to join you on your journey.
Keep in mind that if you choose the Fifth Column, you will not be able to recruit Pendragon during that playthrough, as he is exclusive to the Camelot faction.
