Fast Travel system in No Rest for the Wicked hurt my brain initially but once I figured it out it kinda grew on me. It’s not like a traditional Fast Travel system you find in other video games. Let me break it down for you.
The process of unlocking Fast Travel starts with the prologue. Complete the tutorial section of the game and then enter the city of Sacrament. The next step is beating Warrick the Torn and once that is done, we can then move to unlocking the fast travel system.
The fast travel system run by “Whispers” and your primary Whisper is in Sacrament. Refer to the image above for its exact location. Press Triangle on PlayStation and Y on Xbox to activate the primary Whisper and unlock fast travel in No Rest for the Wicked.
However, there’s a twist – you can’t just whisk yourself away to any Whisper you fancy. Instead, you’re limited to traveling between the last Whisper you engaged with. Imagine this: if your last Whisper encounter took place deep within a dungeon, your fast-travel options are restricted to that specific Whisper from Sacrament.
You can always zip back to Sacrament from any Whisper, though doing so will designate that location as your new go-to fast-travel point.
Why Is Fast Travel Different In No Rest For The Wicked
The game world is dynamic so areas you visited before change with new enemies and sometimes even layout isn’t the same. So, if you are allowed to fast travel anywhere you will miss that part of the game. It is a unique gameplay system, one many may not like, but we have to agree that it does make sense for this type of game design.
