The Situation
During the second half of the “Search and Destroy” mission, Arasaka soldiers launch a surprise attack on your hotel room, causing chaos and destruction.
Amidst the rubble and confusion, Johnny Silverhand, the digital ghost residing in your head, urges you to flee, implying that Takemura’s fate is sealed.
However, if you choose not to rescue Takemura, he may be written out of the story. On the other hand, saving him ensures his survival and potential appearances in further missions.
Steps to Save Takemura In Cyberpunk 2077
- After the explosion in your hotel room, you’ll find yourself amidst debris on the first floor. As you regain your bearings, Johnny Silverhand will advise you to leave the building. While the level design and waypoints might suggest an exit to the right, those wishing to save Takemura should head left.
- As you move left from the blue cross, you’ll notice the area is teeming with armored enemies. Players have two primary strategies here:
- Utilize the “Distract Enemies” quickhack on electronics like TVs, radios, and speakers to divert enemy attention, allowing for silent takedowns.
- Engage the enemies head-on, eliminating them as you progress.
- Continue forward until you find a staircase leading upwards. As you ascend, be wary of an enemy patrolling the stairs. Once on the third floor, your waypoint will pinpoint Takemura’s location in room 303. However, the hallway leading to this room is guarded by several enemies, and additional guards from the fourth floor might join the fray. If in combat, use grenades, shotguns, or group-affecting quickhacks like “Contagion” to deal with clustered enemies.
- Upon entering room 303, you’ll find Takemura surrounded. Employ powerful weapons, quickhacks, or grenades to neutralize the threats swiftly. After ensuring his safety, Takemura will suggest leaving the building. As you exit room 303 and turn right, be prepared to face more armored enemies. Continue down the hallway to room 307.
Inside room 307, locate a large hole in the floor with a red glow. Drop down into this space, and you’ll find a staircase leading downwards.
At the base of the stairs, eliminate the lone enemy and proceed through the door. Once outside, Takemura will part ways, but not before expressing his gratitude.
Saving Takemura doesn’t just offer immediate gratification; it also has potential implications for the game’s ending. Depending on the choices made throughout the game, Takemura might make an appearance during the epilogue,
