You get the Defender LMG by killing a certain enemy during an NCPD mission. Where you can find this particular NCPD mission and how you can take out the enemy are explained below.

Where to Find the NCPD Mission

Your journey begins in the district of Little China. Head to the edge of Northside, right under the main highway. Here, you’ll find an NCPD mission that holds the key to obtaining the Defender LMG. You don’t need to complete the whole mission to get the weapon but only need to take out an enemy named Barry Alken Vulture.

How to Take Out Barry Alken Vulture

Barry isn’t your average goon. He roams the lower levels of the mission area, and he’s not alone. Expect a heated battle as you approach him. While Barry has the unique ability to charge jump, he’s vulnerable to electricity, quick-hacks, and fire. If you prefer a stealthy approach, consider using hacks and an EMP grenade to weaken him from a distance. Once Barry is out of the picture, loot his body to obtain the Defender schematic.
