The better the tier of the mod, the better the effects. The older tiers of the mods in Cyberpunk 2077 (Uncommon, Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary) have been replaced by Tier 1 to Tier 5++, with the latter being the best that you can get. Since Tier 5++ mods are the best, they can be the most expensive and harder to find but do offer the best benefits.

With Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.0, clothing items are mostly cosmetic and do not have mod slots. Only a few clothing items have modifiers or bonuses. These can include gear such as bulletproof vests and Netrunner visors. Furthermore, clothing can no longer be crafted or looted from NPCs.
