The latest Into the Light update for Destiny 2 has introduced the concept of Attunement, changing the way you farm weapons in the series. This guide dives into the nuances of Attunement, helping you understand it better so that you are able to use it to your advantage in D2: Into the Light.
Destiny 2: Into the Light Attunement
Attunement in Destiny 2 is a system that increases the chances of obtaining a specific weapon from the Brave Arsenal in Onslaught. From what we have seen so far, it raises the drop by 50% for the Attuned Weapon which makes it very easy to chase your desired godrolls.
With weapons such as Mountaintop, Recluse, Edge Transit, Hammerhead, etc. it is a good idea to learn how Attunement works in Into the Light.
Understanding Attunement
In order to attune a weapon, you first need to unlock it. You can do this by completing specific quests from Arcite 99-40 in the Hall of Champions — this means that you will also need to do Feats of Bravery and Stranger Danger.
Once you are done, head over to the Hall of Champions where you will find various Shaxx holograms, each representing a different Brave Arsenal weapon.
Simply approach the desired one and interact with it to initiate Attunement. After you are done, it will start glowing, signaling successful Attunement. To attune to a different Brave Arsenal weapon, interact with the corresponding Shaxx hologram.
Alternatively, you can also deactivate an Attunement by interacting again. It is also important to note that only one Brave Arsenal weapon can be attuned at a time.
Important!
You should also note that weapons from the Brave Arsenal are released weekly, so complete access to all weapons for Attunement is time-gated. However, it does make it easier to farm for godrolls by increasing the likelihood of your chosen weapon dropping in Onslaught.
