If you’re aiming to get cozy with River Ward, you’ll need to tackle “The Hunt” quest, which is required for unlocking that romance path. But before you can do that, make sure you’ve wrapped up the “I Fought the Law” side quest. This pre-requisite primes you for the main event, where you’re on a mission to rescue River’s nephew and, in the process, deal with a sketchy character named Harris.
To hack into Harris’ laptop, I recommend having at an Intelligence level of at least 12. If you have this level of intelligence or higher, you can easily get the IP address.
The quest kicks off with a search for River’s nephew, Randy, leading you to confront Harris.
How To Find Harris’s IP In Cyberpunk 2077 2.0
You’ll stumble upon Randy’s laptop that has the IP address, which hints at Harris’s involvement in his disappearance. If your Intelligence stat hits 12, hacking into the laptop to get Harris’s IP address easy. If not, you’ll need the password found near the record players in the hallway. Spoiler: Harris’ laptop password is Liberum Arbitrium.
With access to the laptop, head to the “Net” tab and then exit the laptop to use the intelligence dialogue. option.
Select “Definitely” and then press “Use” to start the hack. You will be taken to the Breach Protocol screen where the “sequence required to upload” is shown; As seen in the image below:
The sequence is randomly generated so yours might be different from mine, but it doesn’t matter. Simply enter the sequence in the Buffer section using the keypad and you’ll get the IP.
Having a solid Hacking skill or an Intelligence rating of 12 unlocks the option to confirm Harris’s IP address to River.
However, it turns out the IP address doesn’t provide a precise location, merely suggesting Harris is somewhere on the outskirts of Night City. The real breakthrough comes later, as you sift through braindances to pinpoint Harris’s hideout.
