Elden Ring has plenty of different bosses that are unique and increasingly challenging to beat. If you are here, then chances are that you have been killed by Starscourge Radahn a couple of times, and you need a way to kill the boss. In this Elden Ring guide, we are going to go over how you can cheese the Starscourge Radahn boss.
Starscourge Radahn Rotten Breath Cheese In Elden Ring
Before you can take on the boss, you will need to prepare for the encounter by getting an item. The following is what you need to know about preparing for the fight and the battle with Starscourge Radahn.
Firstly, you need to head over to the Cathedral of Dragon Communion. Once here, you need to interact with the obelisk, as shown in the picture below:
Here you need to buy the Rotten Breath spell. You will notice that it requires 15 Faith and 12 Arcane, but it is worth it, and you can reset your stats later on if need be. Once you have it, make sure that you have a talisman that allows you to cast the spell and that you have it in the quick selection.
This is all the preparation that you need to do. Now we can talk about how you can beat the boss using this spell.
How To Cheese Starscourge Radahn In Elden Ring
As soon as the battle starts, you need to run straight ahead and spawn the three NPCs that you can summon. You can dodge incoming projectiles or use the weapons that are stuck in the ground to block them.
From here, you need to move toward the right and summon the next group of allies. Stand behind the weapon to block the incoming projectile. Once that is done, Starscourge Radahn should change its attack and shoot arrows into the sky, which are going to rain down on you.
You can summon your stead and sprint to the sides to avoid taking damage. Alternatively, if you are not fast enough, then you can use your block to avoid taking most of the damage, provided that you have enough stamina to block all those arrows.
Once your summoned allies are up and get to the boss, it is going to stop attacking you. This is where the Rotten Breath spell is going to come in handy. When the boss is distracted, go up to him and use the spell. Be sure to do this when his back is towards you in order to avoid taking any damage. Empty your FP bar if you have to.
Once the status effect has been applied, you need to move away and wait for the HP bar to drain. The boss does a lot of damage, and while you wait, your summoned allies are going to die. Luckily, you can summon them again and keep out of harm’s way by having your allies do the dirty work for you.
Phase Two
Once the boss is at half health, he is going to shoot into the sky, and the second phase of the battle is going to start. We recommend using your stead and moving around fast as the boss is going to drop from the sky, and if you are caught, then you will most likely die.
The boss is going to be super aggressive in this phase and will have none of the debuffs that you applied, you need to apply them again. To stay safe, we recommend summoning back all of your allies before heading to the boss.
When you are ready, head over to the boss, and like before, use the spell to apply scarlet rot. Once done, you need to move back and avoid being killed. The spell will drain the HP of the boss slowly, and it will die.
