How Produce Flame Works

Produce Flame serves dual purposes, Illumination and Damage.

Firstly, it acts as a source of illumination, shedding light in a 9-meter radius. This is particularly useful for navigating dark areas such as caves, dungeons, or nighttime environments, where visibility is limited. The light can expose hidden items, paths, or enemies.

Produce Flame can be used as a combat spell. The flame can be thrown at enemies within a 9-meter range, dealing 1d8 fire damage. This makes it a reliable source of damage, especially for classes that might otherwise have limited offensive capabilities. If the flame is hurled immediately after being conjured, it does not consume an additional action. However, on subsequent turns, throwing the flame or extinguishing it will cost an action.
