Assassin’s Creed Valhalla On Borrowed Time
Upon arriving in the area, go and speak to Vili, who can be found sitting by the base of the tall tower where you completed your previous mission. You’ll find Vili at Ulkerthorpe Fort, an area you’ve liberated from the Picts in the previous quest. After speaking with Vili, he will ask you to follow him. You’ll need to ride with Vili to a nearby spring, heading northwest toward Stoneburgh. As you ride, you’ll learn about the long-standing friendship between Vili and Eivor.
Rescuing the Villagers
Upon arriving at Stoneburgh, you’ll discover that the village is ablaze. Follow Vili into the village, and after a cutscene, you will need to rescue the villagers from burning buildings. To do this, break wooden barriers and, if necessary, find alternative routes to enter the buildings, such as through the roof. Revive the villagers inside or carry them out to safety.
Ensure to rescue people from at least three buildings. You will have plenty of time for this rescue mission, as there’s no rush despite the quest’s urgency. After rescuing enough villagers, a progress bar will fill, indicating your success.
Assisting Vili
Rescuing all of the survivors will start another cutscene. After this, Vili will require your assistance to move a large pillar blocking the entrance to a house. Help him and then carry the survivors within to safety beyond the gates to the north. Follow Vili until another cutscene begins.
Kinder Downfall
You will now have an objective marker to travel to, located about 500 meters west of Hemthorpe. Upon arriving, you’ll find a large waterfall with a cave-type entrance in the middle, resembling a mouth. Climb up the northern side of this waterfall to reach Vili without being blocked by ice. When you approach Vili, a cutscene will begin.
You’ll soon learn that Hemming is close to death, and you and Vili must travel back to Hemming, who can be found at the teal objective marker. When you arrive, another cutscene will begin, detailing the emotional moments of Hemming’s last moments.
Finding Trygve
After this cutscene, your next task is to find Trygve. He is about 200 meters away, preparing Hemming’s funeral pyre. Use your Raven to locate his whereabouts more easily. Once you reach Trygve, a cutscene will start, during which Vili and Sunniva will discuss important matters. Following this event, the quest will conclude.
Completing this quest will reward you with 5,100 XP.
