How to Increase Charisma in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Flyting Locations And Tips

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has a Charisma mechanic, responsible for the narrative choices available during gameplay. Eivor’s charisma determines how different NPCs interact with him. Having a high charisma will come with its benefits. There will be certain points in the main storyline when having a high enough charisma becomes the key to success, as it will open narrative choices otherwise out of reach. Keeping in mind the importance it plays in the storyline, players are continuously looking for ways to increase their charisma levels. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to increase charisma in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and all Flyting locations.

AC Valhalla: How to Increase Charisma

To increase Eivor’s charisma, you’ll have to participate in a mini-game called Flyting. Flyting was an activity that Norse people would partake in. It was a battle of wits in which poetic insults would be exchanged between two parties, with a good rhythm and rhyme being essential (Yes! The Vikings invented rap battles).

You engage in Flyting by interacting with specific NPCs in different map areas. Flyting is classified as a mystery and is displayed as a “Drama Face” icon on the map. Whenever you engage in a flyting battle, you’ll be prompted to choose your bet size. After your bet, the opponent will start throwing insults at you.

Your task is to counter those insults with something that rhymes with them and within context. If you choose to say something unrelated or not rhyming, you’ll lose the battle and your money, but it’ll increase charisma by a small amount. On the contrary, if you manage to win, it will boost your charisma stat.

What Charisma Does In AC Valhalla?

A high charisma level will improve Eivor’s speech skills, unlocking more narrative choices. It can prove to be very crucial and time-saving. For example, you have to get into an underground fighting tournament at one point in the game. If you have high charisma, you can talk your way into it. Otherwise, you’ll have to search for a code, that is a bit irritating.

Slam Master Trophy

If you complete or win all of the available Flyting duels in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you’ll earn the “Slam Master” trophy. These duels are classified as mysteries and necessary to complete to get 100% game completion.
