Elden Ring: 10 Best Remembrance (Boss) Weapons

There are 15 Remembrance bosses in Elden Ring which are regarded as the strongest. After defeating them you are rewarded with their respective remembrance which you can use to claim a boss weapon. The 15 Remembrances give players access to 17 different weapons. After finishing Elden Ring more than a dozen times and putting in more than 250 hours in the game, here are the top 10 best Remembrance Weapons.

Which Remembrance Weapons Are The Best In Elden Ring

Axe Of Godfrey

The Axe of Godfrey is a colossal weapon that has a very cool moveset. Its skill called Regal Roar, has a hitbox of its own and alters the charged attack of the weapon allowing you to attack like Godfrey himself. While the overall damage of the weapon is great and the skill is interesting, the stance damage is not up to the mark. The skill also increased your damage by 5-10% depending on your Strength attribute.

Pros:

  • Cool moveset
  • Buff damage based on Strength
  • Skill changes moveset

Cons:

  • Low stance damage for a colossal weapon

Marika’s Hammer

Marika’s Hammer has a skill called Gold Breaker which launches the character into the air. This is not only great for attacks but can be used to avoid incoming AoE damage. The skill deals both physical and holy damage. You can increase Strength or Dexterity to increase the physical damage of the weapon while investing points into Faith will increase the holy damage.

Marika’s Hammer deals a massive 40 stance damage and has an area of effect. The fast charged attacks also have decent stance damage allowing you to stun enemies with ease rather quickly.

Pros:

  • Skill launches character into the air
  • Area of effect
  • Can increase physical, holy damage, or both
  • High stance damage

Hand of Malenia

The Hand of Malenia is Malenia’s sword. She is regarded as one of the most difficult bosses in Elden Ring, so you would imagine that her weapon would be worth getting. The Katana’s skill Waterfowl Dance is devastating to face off against and it is very effective against bosses once you have acquired the weapon.

The hits of the Waterfowl Dance skill counts as successive attacks which you can buff with the Winged-Sword Insignia, Thorny Cracked Tear, and Milicents Prosthesis. This combination allows you to deal more than 11,000 damage on different bosses such as the Godskin Duo. The weapon has a lot of range and the bleed damage is impressive as well.

The downfall of the weapon is that the skill leaves you open to attacks, so you will be vulnerable for a few seconds. It also consumes a lot of stamina. This means that hitting an enemy with the whole skill could leave you with no stamina to dodge. The Hand of Malenia also has a Dexterity requirement of 48, which is the highest for any weapon in the game.

Pros:

  • Very powerful skill
  • Massive damage with the right build
  • High reach
  • Great bleed damage

Cons:

  • Skill leaves player vulnerable
  • Skill consumes a lot of stamina
  • 48 Dex requirement

Grafted Dragon

This is one of the weapons that you can get as a reward for killing Godrick the Grafted. It is a one-handed fist weapon that does a lot of stance damage. The weapon does 30 stance damage which is more than the Axe of Godfrey with its skill active. Since the charged attacks of the Grafted Dragon are fast, you can break the stance of any enemy in the game in a matter of seconds.

The skill of the weapon is called Bear Witness is very powerful and does fire damage. You can buff it with Flame Grant Me Strength, Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear, and Warrior Jar Shard. The weapon also has very little stamina consumption.

Pros:

  • Great damage
  • High stance damage
  • Very powerful fire skill
  • Little stamina consumption
  • Available early in the game

Winged Greathorn

Winged Greathorn is the great axe that you can get as a reward for defeating the Regal Ancestor Spirit. The weapon scales equally off on Strength and Dexterity. Its skill called Soul Stifler, releases a cloud around the weapon that allows the player to deal 15% more damage to enemies that come into contact with it. This applies to any damage type which includes physical or elemental. This skill can also be used in combination with other weapons, including all the other weapons that I have included on this list.

Pros:

  • High damage
  • Skill buffs your build
  • Scales equally off Strength and Dexterity

Cons:

  • Requires high Strength and Dexterity

Starscourge Greatsword

Starscourge Greatsword is one of the rewards that you get for defeating Starscourge Radahn. The dual swords have an interesting moveset and the light jumping attacking uses both the swords to attack. While jump attacking with a pair of colossal swords does consume a lot of stamina, it allows players to deal a lot of damage. You can buff jumping attacks with the Claw Talisman (+15 jump attack damage) and the Raptor’s Black Feathers armor (further 10% buff).

The skill of the weapon is called Starcaller Cry and creates the pulling effect that Radahn does, pulling in humanoid enemies. This alone does stance damage and gravity damage. The effect can be followed up with a massive slam that deals a lot of damage. Additionally, the weapon does 30% extra damage to gravity enemies.

Pros:

  • Effective with jump attack builds
  • High damage output
  • Great skill
  • +30% damage against gravity enemies
  • Great cloud clearing

Cons:

  • Jump attacks consume a lot of stamina

Dragon King’s Cragblade

Dragon King’s Cragblade requires Strength and Dexterity to use and scales primarily of Dexterity due to its lightning damage. Dragon King’s Cragblade deals +15% damage to ancient dragons and +30% damage to regular dragons. The weapon has great reach and fast attack speed compared to other weapons of its size.

The skill of Dragon King’s Cragblade is called Thundercloud Form, which deals more stance damage than any other weapon in Elden Ring. Once charged, the skill deals 6 ticks of 6 stance damage and a final hit of 33 stance damage. When not charged, the final hit deals 11 stance damage.

You can pair this weapon with the Godfrey Talisman to buff the charged attacks and the Warrior Jar Shard to buff the skill. Using the Stonebarb Cracked Tear, you can boost the stance damage of the weapon to stun-lock enemies and render them useless. With the mentioned build, the stance damage increases to almost 90, and most bosses have a stance of around 80.

Pros:

  • +15% damage against ancient dragons
  • +30% damage against regular dragons
  • Massive skill damage
  • Massive skill stance damage
  • Fast attack speed

Cons:

  • High Dexterity requirement

Maliketh’s Black Blade

Maliketh’s Black Blade is the third-best weapon on my list of best Remembrance weapons in Elden Ring. It is a colossal sword infused with destined death. Its damage is split between physical and holy. You can invest in Strength and Dexterity to increase the physical damage of the weapon and you can add points into Faith to increase the holy damage.

Maliketh’s Black Blade has the skill called Destined Death, which allows it to hit 5 times, each hit drains the enemy HP by 2%. This means 10% if all 5 hits come into contact with the enemy. The skill also reduces the maximum HP of the enemy by 10%. The great thing about Destined Death is that it does not have a build-up, like status effects in Elden Ring and there is no enemy in the game that is immune to Destined Death.

Pros:

  • Great damage
  • Impressive stance damage
  • Skill destroys enemies with large health bars
  • No enemy is immune to Destined Death
  • Skill effect does not have build-up

Blasphemous Blade

Blasphemous Blade comes in at second place on my list. The weapon has amazing scaling, damage output and can heal you. Its skill, Taker’s Flame deals fire damage and is ranged, allowing you to defeat bosses from a distance. Taker’s Flame deals 22 stance damage.

The Blasphemous Blade scales mainly off Faith but also has great scaling with Strength and Dexterity. It has high base damage, so adding points to these attributes will make the weapon deal even higher damage and the overall damage output is higher than most other weapons in Elden Ring.

If an enemy is killed using the weapon you receive 4% plus 40 HP. If you kill an enemy using the skill you receive 10% plus 150 HP per enemy hit.

Pros:

  • Great scaling
  • Massive damage output
  • Ranged skill attack
  • Healing ability

Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear

The best of the Remembrance weapons in Elden Ring is Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear. It has a split of physical and fire damage and also applies bleed when you attack enemies. This is one of the furthest-reaching weapons in the game and one of the best skills as well.

The skill is called Bloodboon Ritual and is split into three separate casts. The last cast lasts the longest and deals the most damage but does leave you vulnerable for an extended time. The skill doesn’t 100% fire damage unless you are close enough to the enemy to make contact. The skill deals 58 bleed per tick at the base Arcane required to use the weapon.

The skill does a total of 812 bleed buildup provided all three casts of the skill hit the enemy. With Arcane maxed out, this increases to 1072 bleed build-up. The skill also deals a total of 63 stance damage. You can buff the skill with Flame Grant Me Strength, Warrior Jar Shard, and Flame Shrouded Cracked Tear.

Pros:

  • Very high skill bleed damage
  • High skill stance damage
  • High Fire damage

Cons:

  • High Arcane requirement
  • Leaves player vulnerable

Testing Methodology

I started runs for the Remembrance weapons with the same class (Wretch). I leveled my character to meet the minimum requirement of the Remembrance weapon along with any armor that would match the Remembrance weapon. All runs were on roughly the same route and covered the following bosses:

I picked up resources to upgrade my weapons along the way and also picked up Talismans that would help buff the weapon, allowing me to make the most out of the best Remembrance weapons in Elden Ring. I also picked up the Tears that would help with the builds. I also picked up the Turtle Shield for increased stamina regeneration. I also picked up other buffs such as Flame Grant Me Strength and Golden Vow Ash of War. The Golden Vow incantation was used for weapons with a higher Faith requirement.
